    • Physical description: lines per page. Written in small casual naskh in black ink with use of red for headings. The text is vocalized. Cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. First page damaged with loss of text. Kabīkaj on verso of last folio (fol. 65b in the modern foliation). Inscriptions on the paper pastedowns. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (faulty).
    • Collation: Paper, fol. 67 ; 1¹⁰ (-2, before fol. 1 ; modern foliation omits a leaf) 2-6¹⁰ 7¹⁰ (-1, after last fol.) ; catchword on the verso of each line.
    • Origin: Copy completed on Friday 7 Ramaḍān 824 [Sept. 5, 1421] (in Arabic numerals) by ʻUthmān ibn al-shaykh Muḥammad ibn al-shaykh ʻAlī (lon colophon, fol. 65a).
    Binding note
    The upper and lower covers are disjointed and the spine is severely damaged. The upper cover consists of brown leather over thin paper pasteboard. The central panel is defined by fillets and has a central scalloped pattern consisting of interlacing fillets. Impressions of a small circular stamp, apparently in gold (gold now wanting) in the spaces defined by the fillets of the central pattern, on the pendants of the central pattern, and in the inner corners of the frame. The frame consists of fillets and a running pattern of impressions of a small square stamp. Lower cover and spine are apparently in one piece, and consist of brown leather over paper pasteboard. The central panel of the lower cover has a roundel with fillets encompassing a star motif. The roundel is garlanded by small circular stamps and flecks. The frame consists of fillets and a running pattern (covered by repair).
